Our little ones are separated into two groups. The itty bitties are able to have their tummy time, bouncy seats and exersaucer time with out being trampled by our crawler’s. They have lots of one on one attention by our caring, loving teachers. Our new walkers/ crawlers have room to pull up and walk along block tables, push carts and crawl up our baby gym.
The Infant Room is for ages six weeks up to 12 months old.
The Waddler Room is for ages 1 year to 24 months old.
The Toddler Room is for ages 24 months to 3 years old.
The Preschool Room is for ages 3 to 4 years old.
The Prek Room is for ages 4 to 5 years olds that will be going to Kindergarten in the Fall.
Our preschool program is used within all the class rooms and is a continuous integration of phonics, writing and focusing on the prerequisites for Kindergarten enrollment. We strive to help the children to be independent, kind and considerate little people. We believe in education through fun experiences. The children go on discovery walks, have music and movement classes, drama, story time, arts and crafts, and field trips to name just a few.
The little red school house has a strict rule that your child will not be released into the care of someone other than the parents with out a phone call, verbal notification or a written note signed by the parent or guardian. After the parent has given us notification, the person who has been approved to pick up your child must bring photo identification prior to the release of your child.
The Little red school house also has card key security locks on all entry doors to the class rooms. Each card key is numbered and coded to a specific person. Only that person may use the card key. If lost or stolen the card is canceled immediately and will not function if someone tries to use it.

About Us/ Welcome:
In September of 2000 Rebecca Palmer opened her home to a small number of wonderful families. Since then the day care has steadily grown over the years. The day care now has a new home located at the old Warren Elementary School on Main Street in Westbrook. The historic school building offers us room to grow, a more structured atmosphere and a convenient location. We strive to achieve the nurturing aspects of the home day care in the center.
